Miramar home reclad - plaster replaced with timber weatherboards in Strathmore Park Wellington

Case Study

Miramar Reclad: From Failing Plaster to Timber Weatherboard

This two-storey family home in Strathmore Park, Miramar had aging plaster cladding that was failing and allowing moisture into the framing. The homeowners needed a full reclad to protect the structure and bring the exterior up to modern weather-tightness standards.

Our team stripped the old plaster cladding, inspected and repaired the underlying timber framing, and installed a new weather-tight membrane system before finishing the exterior in durable timber weatherboards. The project also included new double-glazed PVC windows and doors throughout, a new dormer window to bring natural light into the upstairs bedrooms, and upgraded insulation and flashings for long-term performance.

The result is a warmer, brighter, and structurally sound home that’s built to handle Wellington’s coastal conditions. The project was completed under our Halo 10-Year Guarantee, giving the homeowners lasting peace of mind.
